Nir Hod will lead the Absolut Blank campaign in Israel.
A new global creative platform from the house of Absolut Vodka.
Absolut Vodka always pushed the envelope by involving the creative minds of artists, among them Andy Warhol, Keith Haring, Jean Michel Basquiat, and lately, Ellen Von Unwerth and Spike Jones.
Absolut Blank in another daring step of Absolut, which is striving to raise a world wide creative movement, and become a mover of new and young art.
In order to realize this international concept in Israel, Absolut chose to be involved with the artist Nir Hod.
Hod, one of Israel’s premier artists, designed especially for Absolut, 5 bottles and an outdoors billboard at the corner of Iben Gvirol and Tzitlin streets in Tel Aviv (opposite Rabin Square), where an artistic light show, designed by Hod as well, will be incorporated.
The billboard and the site will be inaugurated during the first week of September.
The total investment in the project is one million US dollars.
Nir Hod was quoted saying: “It’s an experience creating a product for Absolut, a company that for decades has been a pioneer in understanding the connection between art and commerce. Throughout the years that I have been creating, it was always important for me to stretch the communication of art and art itself forward toward the wider culture, and to become one with it.
I believe that this serves art and its power and turns it to an object of desire.
It is an honor for me to design a brand for Absolut, a company that hosted incredible artists such as Andy Warhol, Louise Bourgeois and Ed Ruscha”
